Our Story

The Justice Conference is a global movement encouraging thousands of Christ-followers to live out the message of Jesus and transform their communities by making justice a way of life.

Founded in 2010 by a group of like-minded friends in Bend, Oregon (USA), they dreamed of impacting a generation for justice. That dream is becoming a reality as the Justice Conference grows and conferences are hosted across the world. In 2018 there were gatherings in Chicago, Hong Kong, Melbourne, Auckland, Amsterdam, London, Cape Town and Oslo.

These events provide moments which serve the global biblical justice movement by bringing together the Church to engage with the theology of justice. Without a proper theology of justice, our efforts fall apart into disconnected causes rather than being strung together into an inseparable whole.  It speaks to the fullness of biblical justice—that justice is not only good works, but also essential to our knowledge of God and our understanding of what it means to be fully human.

In Australia, The Justice Conference started in 2015 and has run annually in the years since. The conference is hosted by TEAR Australia in partnership with like-minded organisations.
